Statement on Toshiba’s Bid for Areva’s T&D Business
Toshiba Corporation is promoting its power systems businesses, including nuclear power and renewable energy businesses, and also reinforcing its transmission and distribution businesses, in an effort to contribute to achieving a low-carbon society on a global scale.
In accordance with these initiatives, Toshiba had tendered a bid for Areva’s T&D businesses. At this point, we are not able to disclose any further details of the bid.
