Notice Concerning Change of Specified Subsidiary

Toshiba Corporation ("the Company") today announced that Mobile Broadcasting Corporation, an affiliate accounted by the equity method, will be brought into the Company's consolidation and become a Specified Subsidiary ("Tokutei Kogaisha").

Reason for the change

The Company is the principal shareholder of Mobile Broadcasting Corporation, and has determined that the Company needs to promote and oversee reform of Mobile Broadcasting Corporation’s business for the time being. For this reason, Mobile Broadcasting Corporation will be reclassified from an affiliate accounted by the equity method to a consolidated subsidiary. As a result, Mobile Broadcasting Corporation will become a Specified Subsidiary of the Company.
