Toshiba Group will make donations to support relief efforts in the aftermath of the natural disasters that have hit Indonesia and the Philippines.

Toshiba Group will donate about 10 million yen toward relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that hit Padang, in Indonesia’s West Sumatra province. Donation will be made to organizations that include NGO JEN and Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AAR Japan).

Separately, Toshiba Group will also donate approximately 4 million yen to support relief work in the Philippines following the impact of Typhoon Ketsana. The donation will be made to the Philippines Economic Zone Authority. Alongside this, Toshiba Information Equipment (Philippines), Inc, a Toshiba subsidiary, will dispatch doctors and nurses to provide emergency medical aid at evacuation centers in its locality.

We sincerely hope for the earliest possible recovery from this series of disasters.
