Toshiba Supports AFC in Promoting Football

Donating New Power TVs to Schools Across ASEAN

Singapore—Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) and Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. today announced a donation program designed to appeal to football fans throughout the ASEAN region: "Enjoy Football with Power TV". Under the program, the company will double the number of goals scored in the forthcoming the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 and donate that many of its new Power TVs to schools in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore.

Toshiba has long supported football in Asia. The company has partnered with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for almost six years and sponsored 2006/2010 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers and the AFC Asian Cup 2007. Its latest program centers on the finals of ASEAN's premier tournament, the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010, which will be held from December 1 to December 29, 2010.

Toshiba announced the donation today, as part of its program at Singapore to announce its new line of LCD TV specially designed for the ASEAN market. The company was joined by Mr. Satoshi Saito of the AFC, who warmly welcomed the initiative as in line with its own program of CSR outreach, the AFC Project, and encouraging people to both watch and participate in football.

The Power TV is a brand new range of TVs, unique in integrating a back-up battery. The models in the three series that make up the Power TV family are designed to bring quality viewing to wide segments of the market at affordable prices.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Shoji Yoshioka, Corporate Vice President and Corporate Representative-Asia of Toshiba Corporation and the Managing Director of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte.
