5 Sep, 2012

TOKYO— Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) today announced that its English-language Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2012 is now online and offers a comprehensive account of Toshiba Group's latest CSR activities. The report can be accessed at http://www.toshiba.co.jp/csr/en

CSR Report 2012 provides Toshiba's stakeholders with an authoritative resource on Toshiba Group's CSR policies, plans, programs and activities. Promotion of CSR management is one of Toshiba's basic management policies and the latest edition of the report includes a message from Toshiba's President and CEO, Mr. Norio Sasaki, on the Group's commitment to CSR and acting with integrity in all aspects of business.

This year's Report features two special reports. One describes Toshiba Group's actions to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, the other features how Toshiba Group is promoting smart community projects to meet growing demand around the world.

The Report's contents follow the same order as the seven core subjects of ISO 26000, internationally recognized guidelines on social responsibility, as they have since 2010, and also focus on dealing with human rights issues in the supply chain and the Fifth Environmental Action Plan, both of which stakeholders have identified as areas of high interest.

Toshiba Group strives to constantly act with unshakable integrity and aims to continue to be trusted as a "corporate citizen of planet Earth."
