TOKYO -- Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) today announced products for Europe that the company will showcase at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany from September 6 to 11.

Major Exhibits of Products

1.   Ultra HD (4K) TVs for Europe

Alongside the 58- 65- and 84-inch models launched in Europe in August this year, Toshiba will also exhibit a 50-inch sample Ultra HD (4K) TV for the first time. The company will demonstrate dedicated TV cloud services for Europe, where avatars in each programming category, from movies to sports, make recommendations to viewers based on viewing preferences, including information on program themes, story line and cast. In addition, Toshiba will also demonstrate the digital signage for the B to B market that adopts the company’s Ultra HD (4K) TVs.

2.   Notebook PCs and Tablets

A wide-ranging line-up will showcase a 13.3-inch detachable notebook PC integrating a tablet and a keyboard, and Toshiba’s first 8-inch tablet, both running on Windows 8.1, plus a Windows 8 11.6-inch notebook PC. These products will come to the European market this year, from autumn on.

3.   USB and micro USB adapter module supporting TransferJet™

The industry’s first1 USB and micro USB adapter module supporting TransferJet™2, the high-speed close proximity wireless data transfer technology, will also be in the spotlight. The modules will be launched in Japan in December this year and subsequently in Europe, North America and Asia. The exhibit will also include samples of the TransferJet™-enabled SDHC memory card that Toshiba is now developing, which will be released in the first half year of CY2014 (January-June 2014) .
