Applying for Grants
How to Apply
- Application deadline for grants for fiscal year 2012 (April 1st, 2012 to March 31st, 2013): November 30th, 2011
- Application form: No application form
Applicants are requested to provide the following information in English or Japanese and send a hard copy to the foundation's office.- Name of the applying organization, an authorized representative and the organization's activities, along with the details of the contact person
- The project for which a grant is requested
- Outline of the proposed project
- Project schedule
- Expected results
- Breakdown of total project cost
- Amount of grant requested
- Names of other organizations to which you are applying for funding, if any
- Method of evaluation of project results
Eligibility
- Applicants
- Project
- Projects that meet TIFO's objectives, with priority given to projects outside Japan
- Projects, or a discrete part of a continuing project, that can be completed within one fiscal year (April 1st of one year to March 31st of the following year), with the proviso that funding for discrete parts of a continuing project will be eligible for funding for a maximum of three consecutive years.
Non-profit organizations capable of performing the proposed project that has or will have a bank account in its officially registered name into which to receive the grant.
*The following are ineligible and will not be accepted.

Selection Schedule
November 30th, 2011 :Application deadline
February 2012 : Selection Committee selects projects for funding
March 2012 : Approval of the selected projects by the Board of Directors and notification to the applicants
*Selection Committee
Toshiba International Foundation has an independent selection committee that selects the most appropriate projects for funding from among the applications and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
