Toshiba has been a fixture on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSJ) of the world's 300 leading companies for 10 consecutive years since 2000. The DJSI, compiled by Dow Jones of the U.S. and SAM of Switzerland, is an influential ranking system that seeks to promote socially responsible investment (SRI). DJSI assesses the sustainability performance of the world's 2,500 largest companies and selects the top 10% for the index. Toshiba was selected as five leading companies among 40 in “Diversified Industrials” of “DJSI World 2009”
