  • The report was very helpful in understanding how Toshiba Group has worked to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake as well as the group's strategies regarding nuclear power plants.

  • It would be better if there were more detailed reports on Toshiba Group's initiatives to make use of natural energy and to develop smart communities.

Major Improvements Incorporated in CSR Report 2010

  • Since last year, we have been organizing our CSR reports by comparing Toshiba Group's initiatives against the recommended items for the seven core subjects in ISO 26000 and by using these standards as a basic framework.
  • We provided detailed descriptions regarding human rights issues and our activities to support disaster recovery—topics of many stakeholders' interest.
  • An updated report on Toshiba Group's response to the Great East Japan Earthquake and recovery support activities, and a report on Toshiba Group's initiatives for the realization of smart communities were included as special feature articles.
  • Initiatives that are likely to attract stakeholders' interest, with regard to which Toshiba Group has achieved progress, have been marked with “Attention” for easy access.
  • We actively worked to also disclose negative information in this CSR report.
