Major Achievements in Fiscal 2008 and Targets & Plans for Fiscal 2009

The CSR Governance Committee chaired by the head of the CSR Division evaluates activity results for the year and deliberates on the action plans for the next year, which are the basis for Toshiba Group's CSR activities. Progress of each action plan is monitored and reported to the President quarterly. The CSR Governance Committee met on March , 2009, along with the President and other senior executives to evaluate progress against fiscal 2008 plans.

Responsibility toward Shareholders and Investors Initiate measures to improve the financial position and provide explanation on our commitment to sustained growth based on Toshiba's "Action Programs to Improve Profitability"
Risk Compliance Promote various compliance measures, including adoption of a Group-wide guideline
Call for thorough implementation of the Toshiba Group Standards of Conduct (provide education according to positions as well as Group-wide training)
Thoroughly implement safety measures at overseas group companies (disseminate information overseas on safety management)
