Smart communities

In FY2013 to FY2014, Toshiba Group deploys corporate advertisements focusing on the smart community projects we are implementing in Japan and abroad in order to realize a world in which all people lead affluent lifestyles in harmony with the Earth.

One example of these advertisements is the “Lyon Toshiba smart community project,” which features initiatives to reduce environmental impacts such as CO2 emissions and make energy consumption visible through the introduction of a smart community. Another is the “Los Alamos Toshiba smart community project,” which focuses on a system to support the balance between electricity supply and demand. Through these advertisements, we communicate Toshiba's stance aiming to realize a society in which all people live comfortable lives.

Advertisement of LED light bulbs

Toshiba Group has also run TV commercials and newspaper advertisements to announce the delivery of LED lighting to New York's Grand Central Station and explain that LED lamps have a long lifespan, about ten years.
