Bedrock Inspection
Before construction begins, the bedrock beneath the site is inspected.
Regulations require insist that this kind of important structure has an earthquake-proof design and is supported by firm bedrock. Testing is conducted after the excavation of the site for the nuclear reactor building.
Unit No.6 cleared the test on July 29, 1992, and the forming of the foundations began immediately. Plant suppliers regard this date as the official construction start date.
