Advances in Installation and Prefabrication

Advances in Installation and Prefabrication Advances in Installation and Prefabrication

In previous plants, the machinery and components, all the equipment to be installed, were brought into the reactor building itself, after its construction. The shorter construction target for Unit No.6

Promoted a different approach: much greater use of prefabrication, along with concurrent installation and construction of the reactor building.
This method, based on early manufacture and utilizing the latest advances in engineering, saw the major components brought into the site by crane and directly installed, with the building then constructed around them.
Its use was extended as widely as possible, to cover valves, piping and even cable trays.
