Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Overview

Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Electromagnetic flow meters are used to measure the flow rates of water such as tap water and sewerage water. Electromagnetic flow meters have many advantages; for example, they are not affected by pressure loss because they have no mechanical moving parts or protrusions into a pipe, and they can measure a wide range of flow rates.

The product line-up includes a variety of meters such as a type which can measure the flow rates of fluids containing solids as well as clear liquids, a highly ozone-resistant type and a type with multi-function and communication features.

Features

  • Has no mechanical moving parts or protrusions into a pipe, and thus is reliable and incurs no pressure loss.
  • Resistant to noise and provides stable reading even when measuring the flow rates of fluids containing solids.
  • Less affected by drifts (winding flows) inside pipes compared with other types of flow meters having some protruding portions (based on our investigation in 2013).
  • Corrosion-resistant materials are available for measurement of various types of fluids.

Battery-operated Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Overview

Battery-operated Electromagnetic Flow Meter image

Battery-operated electromagnetic flow meters can operate for up to nine years only with the internal battery. These meters are suitable for tap water measurement and provide the same level of precision as for ordinary electromagnetic flow meters. They operate without relying on electricity infrastructure because they do not require an external power supply.

Available diameters: 50 to 350 mm
