The 2nd Volunteer Fair
On July 2, 2008, The 2nd Volunteer Fair was held for employees at headquarters. President Nishida and Vice President Nonaka also visited the event, and a volunteer group (some of the members are Toshiba Group employees) made a presentation about their activities on “science education.” An instructor from Galileo Workshop had an experiment show on stage to show the fun side of science. It was a good opportunity for the employees to know more about volunteering.

I feel that volunteer activities are not only about doing something for other people, but also contribute to personal growth. I think that having seen the lives of people in Cambodia, I was able to somehow discover my own standpoint and what I should do. Because these are important activities for the growth of the volunteers themselves, I would like to see lots of people continuing to participate. |
