Development Background

Typically, the key concerns in storage media are capacity, reliability, speed and cost performance. However, applications as diverse as measuring instruments, point-of-sales (POS) systems, ATM and amusement equipment put priority on resistance to vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, dust and magnetism. The non-volatile memory in the NAND Flash Drive meets these demands. In order to maximize the range of industrial applications supported, Toshiba will manufacture drives with a wide range of capacities, from 16MB to 2GB, and also expects to foster new applications.
