Toshiba Donates Pumps to Thai Flood Recovery Efforts

Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has donated a range of 17 electric drainage pumps to the Thai Ministry of Industry. Toshiba delivered eight different types of pumps that can be applied to flood relief in various situations and conditions, and they are expected to support economic recovery and a return to normality for people affected by the flooding. In addition, Toshiba will separately donate Power TVs to the affected regions. Details, including timing and allocation, are now under consideration. The overall value of Toshiba's donation is some 65 million yen.

Toshiba Thailand Co., Ltd. is also supporting Thailand's recovery efforts by repairing home appliances for its customers in flooded areas, organizing employee blood drives and providing daily necessities to victims of the flood.

Toshiba and its group companies offer their sympathy to all those who have suffered in the flooding and sincerely hope for Thailand's earliest possible recovery.
