Toshiba Strengthens Digital Marketing through Group Company Reorganization

28 Jun, 2018

Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) is strengthening its Group-wide capabilities in digital marketing by bringing together functions and operations now dispersed among different companies into a new, dedicated organization, Toshiba Digital Marketing Initiative Corporation (DMI). The new company will start operation on August 1, 2018, with the mission of delivering proactive plans and strategic support that reinforces the Group’s digital marketing.

Today, the web marketing services at the heart of Toshiba’s digital marketing are provided by Toshiba Digital Frontiers Inc. (TDF), Toshiba Business & Life Service Corporation (TBLS), and Toshiba OA Consultants Ltd. (TOAC). They will be unified by TOAC’s integration of TBLS’s web marketing business through an absorption-type split, and the subsequent merger of TOAC and TDF into DMI. As a dedicated specialist in digital and web marketing services, DMI will reinforce Toshiba Group’s marketing and business growth with forward looking proposals that make full use of on-line resources throughout the world.

In related moves, TOAC will transfer its business support business and its human resources development business to TBLS and Toshiba Human Resources Development Corporation (HRD), respectively, by absorption-type splits on August 1, 2018. This move will eliminate overlapping business structures within the Group, and centralizing human resources and business management functions will promote higher expertise and enhanced operating efficiency.
