Signaling System

Reliable fail-safe is pursued from both the hardware and software side.

When developing railway signaling systems that ensure safe traffic, Toshiba enhanced fail-safe design reliability, and at the same time used general purpose information technology with network technology. We offer an electronic interlocking unit and an electronic railway crossing controller that have achieved high performance, high reliability, high functionality and a compactness and reduced weight.

Features

Electronic Interlocking Unit

General purpose processors are used in the logic unit, and through task synchronizing triple system parallel processing and majority logic control, safety and reliability are improved. Also, when altering or updating interlocking logics, both the new and old logics can be installed in the system, enabling them to be switched over quickly and testing is also easy.

Electronic Railway Crossing Controller

Light weight and compact design can be done with Toshiba's proprietary circuit technology. Dual system comparison verification method is used, so safety is improved as well as preventing malfunctions due to wind or unstable relays.

Electronic Railway Crossing Controller

Benefits & Value

Electronic Interlocking Unit

  • Many maintenance support functions such as live program switching, CPU switching without stopping control and in-operation module exchange.
  • PU and various modules can be replaced without powering-off the unit.

Electronic Railway Crossing Controller

  • Compact and light weight design. External size is 280(W)x180(H)x220(D)mm, and mass is approximately 7 kg.
  • Standardization that supports single track and double track typical combinations.
  • The user can adjust an appropriate alarm time according to the site conditions.
