Toshiba Selected to DJSI World Index for the Fifteenth Consecutive Year

Toshiba Corporation has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, which is a major global socially responsible investment (SRI) index, for the fifteenth consecutive year since 2000.

DJSI World is a stock index created by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC in the US and RobecoSAM AG in Switzerland, which evaluate the sustainability of companies in terms of the economy, environment, and society. Each year, about 2,500 of the world’s major companies are evaluated, and this year there were 319 companies globally, including 21 Japanese companies, were selected as components of the DJSI World Index.

We recognize that our management and accountability for sustainability have been highly evaluated through the selection in the DJSI World Index for the fifteenth consecutive year.

Toshiba is also included in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index.

We will continuously lay down solid foundations to promote CSR management, and contribute to the achievement of a sustainable society through our business activities jointly with all of our stakeholders, bringing together the concerted abilities of Toshiba Group’s 200,000 employees.
